São Paulo, March 16, 2017 - Triunfo Participações e Investimentos S.A. (TPIS3), a company with one of the strongest presences in Brazil’s infrastructure sector, announces its operational data.
Port Segment: In the first two months of 2017, container handling volume increased 8.0% from the same period in 2016, reaching 145,819 TEUs. This growth reflects the start of operations of a new line acquired by Portonave in June 2016 and the best performance of the five lines acquired in August 2015 and renewed in September 2016.
Highways Segment: In the first two months of 2017, total paying vehicle equivalents reached 30.2 million (-2.2%). Note that the changes in volume are not totally reflected in the concessionaires’ revenue due to the tariff adjustments occurred during 2016.
Airport Segment: In the first two months of 2017, 18,700 aircraft (-5.5%) carrying over 1.6 million passengers (-0.3%) and 27,800 tons of cargo (+29.8%) passed through Viracopos Airport. The cargo volume was higher than last year due to the growth in imports and new agreements executed. The decline in aircraft traffic is due to the cancellation of commercial flights by airline companies during the period.
